Library Support

Regardless of whether you're doing primary or secondary research, you may have to do a search of the literature.

  • Randomized controlled trials, case reports, cohort studies...etc. usually require a literature review with a description of the current state of research including what is known and any gaps.  Those gaps may be the reason behind your research.
  • A literature review in itself is a general summary of research on a specific topic.
  • Systematic reviews and meta-analyses require more systematic and replicable studies.

You can consult a librarian for assistance with literature searches.  Email the library library@nwhealth.edu
